Week 3: Its like Christmas just a lil bit earlier

Another week and it was pretty exciting.

This post will have nothing to do with university :D

This weekend me and a couple of friends 15 to be exact had a Christmas gathering / meal / mini party how ever you like to call it. The meal was a great success, as always it started later than planned (2 hours later to be exact) but it was a great night. Each person was assigned a task of what to bring to the meal, no one failed on their task and there was food to fill any one of any country.

Heres the list :-
Samson:- Eritrean food beef stew (SEBHI)
Hannah:- Whole chicken and potatoes
Eugene:- Plantain
Elliot :- Jollof rice
Tunde :- Fried rice
Janine :- Fried or Oven Chicken
Curtis :- Patties
Ade :- Drinks
Billy :- Meat Stew
Quamstar :- Deserts
Sly :- Coleslaw and Salad
Kwame:- Drinks
Makda:- Pasta
Priest:- Mixed Veg and Gravy
Moriam:- Plain White Rice
Emmanuel:- Disposable Utensils AND crackers
Kai:- Krispy Kreme Donuts

DRESS CODE:- DRESS TO IMPRESS
Men: Classy and Smart
Woman: Elegant and Sexy

I also managed to get alot of recreational fun in this week, even my Xbox was excited, read the "autobiography of my xbox"
Watch closely because here comes the recap... if you aren't paying attention, you might miss it: Oh man are my cores just rocking... zMastaa played seven days last week! SEVEN! That is a NUMBER SEVEN followed by NO ZEROS! HOT! We added 25 points of gamerscore which ain't too shabby. Getting 3 achievements can do that to you. I was there. I saw it!

I was feeling a little bored last week and told zMastaa to try a new game: Rock Band. It wasn't as cool as I thought it would be. Also, I think zMastaa's favorite game last week was FIFA 10. He played it on 7 of the days.

So that's it for now. It was a good week. On to the next one.

University: Year 1 Week 9

Week 9 is upon us and this week in uni we kicked of with the MISO unit, 9 am start, and slightly boring.
This weeks topic, organisational structure this is best described as follows

A commonly used definition of organisational culture is 'the way we see and do things around here'. Through tradition, history and structure, organisations build up their own culture. Culture therefore gives an organisation a sense of identity - 'who we are', 'what we stand for', 'what we do'. It determines, through the organisation's legends, rituals, beliefs, meanings, values, norms and language, the way in which 'things are done around here'.

There was no TNS or TCM lectures this week as Deirdre decided to go AWOL :p

Organising information introduced meta data to the module, quite boring to be honest as I know a lot about it already it was more of a revision class

On the social side of things, a friend of mine celebrated his 22nd birthday party at Roadhouse :D and i was the designated photographer for the event

University: Year 1 Week 8

This week in university as always started with the usual 9 am start of the Management, Information Systems and Organisations, this week was all about marketing. Marketing involved the 7'Ps and how to apply them to the marketing mix.

In the network society we learnt about the theory of actor networks, this is a framework and systematic way to consider the infrastructure surrounding technological achievements. Assigns agency to both human and non-human actors.

Telecomunnications we started a new topic, Mass Communications and the Media.

Next week I have a class test in Data technologies so this week was just a preparation week in the lecture and in the seminar
In other news, i got a new hairstyle done this week so im lookin fresh for a a convention in nottingham and my friends 22nd birthday party!
